Prizes for the best: the FIBO INNOVATION AWARD

“That brings joy to my heart”, jury member Matthias Lompa of TÜV Rheinland said on presenting the award in the Training Equipment category. Itensic won the day with a device to strengthen deep muscles. The winners in the Health Promotion and Design categories were also decided unanimously by the jury led by the chairmanship of TÜV Rheinland Gruppe and in cooperation with the FIT FOR FUN magazine that awarded the FIBO INNOVATION AWARD at the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health for the 13th time.

Winner in the Training Equipment category: itensic (Letow GmbH)

Winner in the Training Equipment category: itensic (Letow GmbH)Winner in the Training Equipment category: itensic (Letow GmbH)With its itensic series, itensic was the clear winner in the strongly contested Training Equipment category in which as many as four companies were nominated. Itensic impressed the jury because the machines allow for targeted training of deep muscles by simple means. The user’s own body weight acts as the training weight – with the intensity varying from high to low depending on the setting of the angles and hence the seating position. The movements during the various exercises are executed over short distances, straight and controlled. The vertebral column is almost entirely stabilised throughout. As a result the deep muscles of the lumbar region are stimulated without any risk of injury. As no other muscles have to be activated during training, the exercise energy fully benefits the muscles to be strengthened. The itensic principle was developed by a trainer who is also a physiotherapist and manual therapist.

Winner in the Health Promotion category: LMT Deutschland AG

Winner in the Health Promotion category: LMT Deutschland AGWinner in the Health Promotion category: LMT Deutschland AGThe winner in the Health Promotion category is LMT Deutschland GmbH with the CYBEX BRAVO Press and Pull. The CYBEX BRAVO Press allows for functional training for all movements involving pressing weights away from the body, the CYBEX BRAVO Pull is designed for pulling movements. The jury particularly emphasised the fact that with this machine, apparatus training can be transferred to functional training. The devices feature a progressive stabilisation system which can be adjusted vertically and horizontally. This allows for motion sequences with a maximum degree of stability, as usually practiced on isolated weight training machines. Exercises in a state of complete instability can also be practiced on the machine, however. As a result, the CYBEX BRAVO Press and Pull combines the advantages of isolated machines with those of cable machines. The development of this product was accompanied by a scientific study.

Winner in the Design category: milon industries GmbH

Winner in the Design category: milon industries GmbHWinner in the Design category: milon industries GmbHThis series has both the right looks and the right feel. The jury was also convinced by the interplay of function and design. The winner in the Design category is the milcanic Vision series by milon industries. These electronically controlled machines were developed in accordance with the latest findings of sports science. The machines and devices impress with a perfect action point, direct transmission of energy and optimal pivot action. Further advantages of the devices are their high-quality workmanship and attractive visual appearance. The design was developed via Porsche Design Studio.
