INNOVATION AWARD

Many exhibitors use the opportunity to present the product news of our industry to an international audience. The Jury, which is coordinated by TÜV Rheinland, has been spoilt for choice for almost 13 years now from the growing number of applying products.
Also 2012 those products and concepts are admitted which are an innovation for the entire industry and which are available on the market for a maximum of a year. The FIBO exhibitors applying will be accompanied by a broad PR all over Europe.
At the end of February 3 products of each of the 3 categories will be chosen from the numerous applications to be nominated with a silver seal. The categories are
- Training Equipment
- Health Promotion
- Design
The nominated products can be seen at the special INNOVATION FORUM in hall 7 during FIBO.
On the second exhibition day the jury will choose the winners from the nominees and awards them on the INNOVATION FORUM with the golden seal.
The award-ceremony will also take place on FIBO Friday at 3 p.m. at the INNOVATION FORUM.
The Jury
Prof. Dr. Ingo Froböse
Prof. Dr. Ingo Froböse (54) completed his sport studies at the German Sport University Cologne. He is managing the "Health Centre" of the German Sport University, is manager of the Institute for movement therapy and was prorector from 1999-2003. Furthermore he is the scientific coordinator of the "Institute for quality assurance in prevention and rehabilitation GmbH" as well as Chairman of the "Research institute disability and sports".
Matthias Lompa
The graduated sports scientists Matthias Lompa (43) is since 2008 working for TÜV Rheinland. Before, he was working as a freelance auditor and coach. Since the beginning of 2011 he is responsible for sports, leisure activities and fitness at TÜV Rheinland. For the fourth time Matthias Lompa puts the innovations to the acid.
Heike Schönegge
The Hamburger Journalist and book author Heike Schönegge (48) used to work as a trainer. Since 1993 she is editor for the fitness and lifestyle magazine FIT FOR FUN. There in the resort Sports & Travel, she takes care about the topics aerobic, fitness and weight training. As an author she published a range of books dealing with fitness topics.
Elmar Trunz-Carlisi
Elmar Trun-Carlisi is sports scientist and manages the institut for prevention and aftercare in Cologne. The company, founded in 1992, works as a partner and health service provider for health insurances and other companies of the health sector.
He published several articles in public and business magazines, in radio and TV. As author and co-author he published 15 fact books - 5 bestseller included - that are translated into 20 languages in total. As referent and lecturer, the father of 3 children, works for health insurances, associations, universities and other companies.
