FIBOactive: Events, Experience, Shopping

As the world’s largest fitness trade show, FIBO affords a unique overview of industry developments and products and therefore already had a lot to offer to trainers in the past. From 2010 onwards, the trade show will cater for the needs of trainers, presenters and instructors to an even higher degree.

In the FIBOactive zone, joining in is the big thing. As in previous years, there will be the DFAV Convention, the Fit for Fun Cycling Festival as well as the Les Mills Convention. Here again, Event Director Olaf Tomscheit and his team have not been idle and have come up with a lot of new ideas to make the events even more exciting and attractive.

The DFAV Convention in Hall 5 will be even more international. Already registrations have come in from participants from all over Europe, all wishing to learn the latest choreographies from the top presenters on an even larger area which will even feature a live DJ. Part of this will be ZUMBA, who will really get both participants and spectators moving with Latin rhythms.

The Fit for Fun Cycling Festival follows the latest trend in group fitness: kranking. For the first time, trainers and other interested people have the opportunity to try out this innovation for building arm and upper body strength in such an extraordinary atmosphere. Live drummers will provide the proper beat for both kranking and cycling.

At FIBO 2010, the Les Mills Convention will take place for the second time in Hall 8. After the successful premiere in 2009, the world’s biggest group fitness specialist will offer an even more attractive event. The July 2010 releases can be tried out for the first time at FIBO, and a new lighting concept provides new splendour for the event.

But the leading international trade show for fitness, wellness and health offers other highlights for trainers: the number of exhibitors in Hall 6 is growing. Here, large companies such as Intersport and Flexi Sports as well as small innovative companies present everything from suitable clothing to small training equipment to the right music for courses. On stage, the audience may look forward to see both familiar acts like ZUMBA, Move too Hot or Chloe Bruce and new faces.

In Hall 5 is home not only to the DFAV Convention but also to the National Register of Trainers. Together with its partners DFAV, DFLV and the new partner IFFA, it is always available to answer your questions and looking forward to your visit.

FIBO has a lot to offer not only to the body but also to the mind. As participants in the GETUP Congress on 23 and 24 April in the Congress Centre West, trainers can broaden their knowledge of trends and developments in the areas of nutrition, exercise and management. Practical examples will also be a source of new ideas for participants.

Another novelty in 2010 is an electronic visitor registration and admittance system. Anybody registering as a trade visitor on www.fibo.de can buy a ticket directly online and print it out at home. This will not only avoid waiting times at the cash office on site, but also result in real cash savings: the difference between advance booking prices and onsite ticket buying can be as much as € 7.00.
