Service initiative for FIBO’s anniversary

Create benefits: this is the motto FIBO has chosen for its 25th anniversary. It is the response of organiser Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH to the rising demands made by visitors from Germany and abroad, and designed to simplify planning and preparing for the trade show. The last few years already brought many innovations to improve the service, among them the interactive visit planner on the FIBO homepage (www.fibo.de) or the handy folding hall plan with valuable additional information on exhibitors. Of course, FIBO 2010 will again offer many innovations for the preparatory phase and the trade show itself. Health as a focal theme will be developed further with the innovative FIBOmed concept. The internationalisation of FIBO will be taken further with the FIBO ambassadors, among them Spain’s fitness star Jessica Exposito and Witold Szmanda, Poland’s celebrity personal trainer. Another innovation for national and international visitors arriving by air is a shuttle service from the airport to the exhibition centre and back. The leading industry trade show is also active online: news about FIBO is continuously posted on facebook, twitter and similar networks.

Preregistering, printing, scanning: New visitor registration scheme for FIBO 2010
Probably the most striking innovation at the 25th FIBO is the digital visitor registration system. It makes registration and ticket buying, both in advance and onsite, less complicated, faster and more convenient. What is more, visitors obtain real cash savings by registering online and buying their tickets in advance.

Just as in the past, visitors can preregister for the trade show via the www.fibo.de website. What’s new is the link and code sent to visitors by email after registration which then allows them to buy up to three tickets at the low advance booking rates and simply print them out at home. On site, visitors can then scan their printout at the terminals, and their badges will be printed within seconds. As a result, filling in registration documents and queuing at the cash offices is no longer necessary.
Even FIBO visitors who have not yet bought any tickets and or been registered can use the new terminals in the entrance section to scan their vouchers or to enter their data and then pay for their ticket by EC or credit card.

Of course, tickets can still be bought and paid cash as before, and ticket vouchers be redeemed at the cash offices. However, the new system offers the advantage of saving both money in advance and plenty of time at the trade show.

For exhibitors, the new system also has many benefits: The vouchers they use to invite their customers can also be sent digitally now. Furthermore, these vouchers can be registered online, which means they likewise just have to be scanned at the onsite terminal – again, there is no longer any need to queue at the cash offices.

New visitor registration: Here’s how it’s done
With the integrated online ticketing tool a visit to the trade show will be easier, faster and less costly. The photo series shows how it’s done:

Step 1: Register online at www.fibo.de and receive an email with your registration data.

Step 2: Buy tickets at the low advance booking rates by direct debit or credit card and print them out at home.

Step 3: At the trade show, scan the printed ticket right at the entrance to the halls.

Step 4: Remove your ticket from the terminal – done!
