FIBO Airport Shuttle

If you want to travel to FIBO by plane, your best destination is airport Düsseldorf International which is only 20 minutes away by car from the Essen fair grounds. From the 18th to the 22nd of April 2012 there will a special shuttle-bus commute every 30 minutes from 7:45am to 6:45pm between the Düsseldorf Airport and the Exhibition Center . At the airport, the shuttle stops at Terminal B, Arrival Level in front of the door C. At the Exhibition Center the shuttle stops at the Piazza in front of hall 3 (close to the west entrance). The ticket for the return trip can be bought directly at the shuttle bus driver. A round-trip ticket costs 20.00 €.

By public transportation to FIBO

German Rail: Take the Sky Train to the station "Flughafen". There are three ICE trains (40/45, 10 and 41), three regional express trains (RE1, 6 and 11) and the "S-Bahn" Line 1 in about 30 Minutes to the central station Essen. Please note that the ICE tickets are more expensive than the other ones.

U-Bahn (Underground train): From the central station Essen you can reach FIBO within 5 minutes by underground train. The line U11 takes you to the station "Messe West". The ticket for S-Bahn or regional express is valid for the underground.
